SNOW cones!

When Blake woke up this morning and realized it had snowed he immediately started begging me to "eat snow". After much nagging, I finally gave in and went out to get him some! He loved it and even talked Aaron into going out and getting him some more later. Aaron added cherry crystal light to the snow he got and made a real snow cone! Blake LOVED it!

This is Blake looking out the front door waiting for me to bring in the snow!

Not so "Spring" break

This Spring break has been a great one! We started off the week with Josh and Robyn coming to visit us from okc. We always have such a good time with them, and this time was no exception. We took them to eat at The Catfish Hole, went shopping and spent some time just hanging out and talking. Blake woke up every morning they were here saying "Josh play" and he called Robyn "Robi"-it was so cute. They came on Saturday and left on Monday. Then, Aaron's parents came on Monday and stayed through Friday morning. We had such a great time! Blake and Berkley soaked up all the attention from Grammy and Poppa. Aaron and I even got to enjoy a night out with some friends while Grammy and Poppa kept all the kiddos for us. Aaron's parents decided to leave Friday morning, because there was a possibility of snow in the area. Saturday night it started to snow and it's now Sunday afternoon and it hasn't stopped yet!

Better safe than sorry, right?

The other night we went over to a friend's house for dinner. They just live around the corner, so we decided to load the kids up in the wagon and walk. Well, I thought it was a little chilly, so I bundled the kids up and even put Berkley in her winter hat (it was Blake's hat from last year). As soon as everyone else saw how Blake and Berkley were dressed they immediately started cracking up and teasing me and saying that I was "Too over-protective". I didn't think so, until a few days later when I started looking back at the pictures from that night, I noticed how everyone else was dressed....ha! My kids were probably sweating under all of their polar fleece! Oh well :)

Brotherly/Sisterly Love

Now that Berkley can crawl and get just about anywhere in the house, Blake started saying, "Sissy, room." At first it took me a minute to figure out what he was talking about, but then it hit me. He wanted Berkley to come into his room to play. He says it all the time now, and being the loyal sister that she is, Berkley gladly follows Blake to his room to play with his collection of tractors and trucks. He probably better enjoy these times while he can because I am sure it is only a matter of time before she decides that she would rather play dress-up and dolls. Oh, I can hear the bickering already.....

On the go!

Berkley started crawling at about 7 and a half months, and now a month later, she is into EVERYTHING! She loves being able to move around and get wherever she wants to go. She has also figured out how to pull up on the furniture and spends most of her time going from one thing to the next and standing up. Here are a few action shots.

Here he is saying, "Whoa!!" Who knew they had toys in the John Deere store?? We let Blake walk around and look at all the tractors. You would be shocked at how much some of those toy tractors cost!! We are talking in the HUNDREDS of dollars for a TOY tractor....seriously?? We made it out of there with minimal damage. We got Blake a dump truck and a Tractor movie. All day long he kept saying, " Mommy, tractor moomie." I'll gladly put anything in the DVD player to get a break from the Barney phase we have been in :)

Today we took Blake to the John Deer Tractor Store in Tontitown. He was in absolute heaven! He walked around and looked at all the tractors. He kept saying, "Whoa!!"

Hello Blogosphere!

Ok, so I have been considering starting a blog for a while now, primarily to keep all of our "out-of-town" family up to date, but I just never got around to doing it. I mean really, do I need one more thing to obsess over?? Not in the least, but I thought it would be a fun thing to do, and even if my only readers are my mom and mother-in-law, I thought I would go ahead and give it a whirl. So here I am-officially in Blog land. I'll do my best to keep it up to date and current with the "Highlights of our life".
